School Cast Notification System


Red Bay School uses an "emergency/urgent notification" call system called SchoolCast. This is a computer call system designed to notify students, parents, and employees of school cancellations, delays, and closings by calling designated phone numbers. Information has been sent home with students to get correct phone/contact numbers. The use of this message system improves the notification of all during weather and other urgent/emergency situations that affect the operation of schools. This enables the school to get emergency information out to everyone in a timely manner. We will continue to contact you as well through the use of Red Bay School's FaceBook page.

A test message is generally sent in late August (usually in the afternoon around 4:30) to make sure that everything is working correctly and that everyone is receiving the automated call.
Parents that are not receiving the automated calls should:
1. Call the school at 256-331-2270 and make corrections to their current number on the system.
2. Fill out the automated call system information form and send it back to your child's school.
