Experience

This is my 26th year teaching Family and Consumer Science at Red Bay High School. There have been many changes thru the years. FHA(Future Homemakers of America) has been changes to FCCLA(Family, Career,Community Leaders of America).  FACS has changed the classes over the years to update our program. We now teach classes such as Food Chemistry, Dietetics, Teen Discoveries and out basic Family and Consumer Science Classes.



Bio

My name is Sherry Baker Hutcheson. I am a 1977 graduate of Phil Campbell High School. After graduation I attended Northwest Alabama State Junior College for two years then transferred to Auburn University. I graduated in 1981 with a BS degree in Family Resource Management. I went back to school to the University of North Alabama in 1989 and graduated in 1991 with a degree in Family and Consumer Science Education. I have been teaching at Red Bay High School for 18 years. I was the prom sponsor for 16 years and the FCCLA sponsor for the past 18 years. 

I married Toby Hutcheson in 1991 and we have three beautiful children  (Tommy, age 29, Savannah, age 26 and Alyssa, age 16) and four of the cutest grandchildren on the planet ( Talon 10, Shaily 9, Sidda 8 and Brailey 1).
